Kolkata, West Bengal, India, March 2026 – Megha Dutta has started a new position as Head of Human Resources at The Alumina Company, where she will lead the organization’s people strategy and HR operations as the company builds a state-of-the-art specialty alumina manufacturing facility. In this role, she will oversee workforce planning, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, compliance with labor regulations, and the implementation of HR systems that support operational and production goals.
Dutta brings diverse HR leadership experience across manufacturing, technology, and healthcare sectors. Prior to joining The Alumina Company, she served as Head of Human Resources at Budge Budge Refineries Ltd., where she led HR strategy, culture development, governance, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives aligned with long-term business objectives. Earlier, she held leadership roles in talent management with Veedol and vivo West Bengal, where she focused on succession planning, leadership development programs, learning and development strategies, and performance management frameworks.
Earlier in her career, Dutta worked with organizations including Landis+Gyr, Kutchina, Medica Superspecialty Hospital, Charnock Hospitals, ITC Limited, and Capgemini, building expertise across recruitment, HR operations, employee engagement, compliance, and HR transformation initiatives. She holds an MBA in Human Resources from the Institute of Engineering and Management, and is recognized for her work in organizational capability building, HR digitization, and talent development strategies.
About The Alumina Company
The Alumina Company (TAC) is developing a state-of-the-art specialty alumina manufacturing facility at KEZAD in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The facility will initially produce White Fused Alumina and Specialty Calcined Alumina, with a combined annual capacity of 120,000 tonnes per year, serving industries such as refractories, abrasives, and advanced technical ceramics.
Built on Industry 4.0 principles, the facility will integrate digital manufacturing systems, real-time process monitoring, advanced quality controls, and sustainable production practices. TAC’s long-term roadmap targets seven specialized product lines with a total capacity of 300,000 tonnes per year, positioning the company as a significant global supplier of high-performance alumina materials.
