Hazira, Gujarat, India, July 2024 – Mehul Parmar has taken on the role of Cluster Head – Human Resources at ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India. With extensive experience in human resources, Mehul will be heading the HR function for the Technical Services Cluster at the integrated steel manufacturing facility in Hazira.
Mehul Parmar joins ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India after a significant tenure at Adani Ports and SEZ, where he spent approximately 11 years. Most recently, he served as Deputy General Manager – Human Resources, where he was the HRBP for International Ports and Head of Section – Human Resources at Hazira Port. His responsibilities included designing and implementing HR strategies, talent management, total rewards, change management, employee engagement, workforce planning, HR operations, HR digitization, people analytics, statutory compliance, and employee relations.
Prior to Adani Ports and SEZ, Mehul worked at Essar Group for about 5 years as a Program Manager – Learning & Development in Corporate HR. He was responsible for identifying individual and team learning needs, engaging with quality learning partners, preparing and implementing the national learning calendar, designing customized learning programs, leveraging technology in learning and development, and delivering training programs.
Before his tenure at Essar, Mehul served as a Software Developer & Team Leader at Avinashi Systems Pvt Ltd for approximately 1 year, where he was a key member of the “Memolife Products” and “Employee Dashboard” projects.
Mehul’s early career includes a role as an Engineer – Instrument R&D (Software Development) at Span Diagnostics Ltd. for about 7 months, contributing to the “CellSoft-2.0.0” and “Black Box” projects.
