Her expertise and leadership will play a pivotal role in enhancing the company’s workplace environment and talent development as it continues to expand its influence in the defense sector.
Prior to this appointment, Michaela worked as the Unicorn Stable Architect at Defense Unicorns, where she managed consulting roles, collaborating with various teams to develop and implement organizational strategies aligned with mission objectives. Her contributions helped streamline HR processes, enhance operational efficiency, and build a foundation for Defense Unicorns’ growth.
Before joining Defense Unicorns, Michaela founded and hosted Motherhackers, a project aimed at supporting working mothers by sharing resources and hosting conversations on career growth. This initiative underscored her commitment to workplace inclusivity and community support.
Michaela’s experience also includes six years with the United States Air Force, where she held multiple roles, including Civilian Personnel Program Manager and Social Media Recruiting Strategy Specialist. In these capacities, she implemented strategies that improved talent acquisition and employee engagement across the organization, demonstrating her expertise in personnel management within complex environments.
