With nearly three decades of rich experience across global healthcare and technology organizations, Michelle brings a strong blend of HR leadership, organizational development, and talent strategy expertise to her new role.
As SVP, Talent, Michelle will lead Novanta’s global talent strategy, focusing on cultivating leadership excellence, workforce capability, and a high-performance culture that aligns with the company’s innovation-driven business goals. Her appointment comes at a crucial juncture as Novanta continues to expand its footprint in precision medicine, robotics, and advanced manufacturing.
Prior to joining Novanta, Michelle Day served as Vice President, Human Resources at Hologic, Inc., where she led HR for the Breast and Skeletal Health Division, supporting organizational transformation and workforce engagement initiatives. Before this, she was Vice President, Human Resources at Pearson, where she drove strategic HR for the Workforce Skills and Direct-to-Consumer divisions, as well as Strategy and Corporate Marketing, helping align talent with business strategy across global markets.
Earlier, Michelle held the position of Director, Global Learning & Talent Development at Hillrom, where she led leadership and capability-building initiatives across international teams. Prior to that, she spent over six years at Hologic, Inc. in key HR leadership roles, including Director, HR Business Partner for the Cynosure and Breast & Skeletal Health Divisions, contributing significantly to organizational integration and employee engagement during periods of expansion and acquisition.
Michelle began her career with Boston Scientific, where she spent more than 18 years across various leadership positions spanning training, marketing, and global employee development. Her tenure included roles such as Group Manager, EMEA Employee Training and Development Center of Excellence and Group Manager, International Training, where she built world-class learning frameworks for global teams across Asia Pacific, EMEA, and Latin America.
Michelle holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Cornell University, which has been instrumental in shaping her strategic and people-centric leadership philosophy.
