Miami-Dade County, Florida, United States, July 2024 – Michelle Kligman has been promoted to Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer at Jackson Health System. With a remarkable tenure in human resources and organizational leadership, Michelle is poised to lead HR operations and strategic initiatives to further the growth and development of the organization.
Michelle Kligman has been with Jackson Health System for approximately 11 years and 8 months. In her new role as Executive Vice President & Chief Human Resource Officer, she will focus on strategic human resources leadership, labor relations, and organizational development to support the system’s mission and goals.
Prior to this promotion, Michelle served as Senior Vice President for about 8 years. She was a key business partner and driver responsible for human capital, culture, and people strategy. During her tenure, she was a member of the senior executive team, playing a crucial role in the systemwide transformation from annual losses to significant surpluses and implementing a $1.4 billion capital plan. Michelle led union negotiations, resulting in concessions of approximately $50 million, and significantly improved key indicators such as employee engagement, quality, and patient experience.
Michelle also held the role of Chief Experience Officer & Senior Vice President for about 11 years and 8 months, where she focused on improving employee and patient experiences. Additionally, she was the Associate Vice President, Human Resources Capital Management Division for about 3 years and 5 months.
Apart from her roles at Jackson Health System, Michelle has been a College Lecturer at the University of Miami Herbert Business School since January 2023, sharing her expertise and giving back to the academic community.
Before joining Jackson Health System, Michelle was the Senior Advisor to the City Manager; Director of Human Resources at the City of Miami for approximately 7 years, and an Organizational Development Consultant at WJM Associates for about 2 years and 4 months.
