London, England, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Michelle Westwood has joined Osborne Clarke as the Interim Chief People Officer, where she will be responsible for leading the firm’s people strategy during a critical phase of transformation and alignment with its future-focused goals. Operating in a hybrid model from the London area, she brings a wealth of experience in strategic HR leadership across the public, military, and healthcare sectors.
Before joining Osborne Clarke, Michelle served as Chief People Officer at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, where she oversaw a workforce of 6,600 and led significant transformation initiatives, including workforce cost optimization, cultural change, and operational model redesign. She reported directly to the CEO and managed a department of 240 people.

Previously, Michelle held multiple senior HR roles in the Royal Navy, including People Transformation Programme Director & Chief of Staff and Strategic HR Head for the Logistics Specialisation. Over the course of nearly two decades, she played a pivotal role in shaping long-term workforce strategies and driving complex change programs for an organization of 30,000 personnel.
Her earlier positions in the Royal Navy, including Remuneration Policy Officer, Head of Logistics and HR, and HR Business Partner, saw her working on projects with ministerial impact and leading high-stakes logistics and HR functions across global naval operations.
