Microsoft India has announced Arun Kakatkar as the new General Manager of Human Resources for India and South Asia. T
Kaktkar’s appointment came as Ira Gupta, Microsoft India’s HR Head, decided to quit.
Prior to joining Microsoft India Kakatkar was President at Kalyani group and was leading global corporate business strategy.
Arun Kakatkar is no stranger to Microsoft, having served in a pivotal HR role within the company from 2008-2011 in Singapore, where he was the Director of People and Organizational Capability. His extensive experience spans across various specialized functions, industries, and geographies, making him a seasoned professional in the human resources field. Before rejoining Microsoft, Kakatkar held senior HR and business leadership roles at TE Connectivity in India, and was most recently the Managing Director for India and Vice President of HR for Asia Pacific at the company. His last role before making the return to Microsoft was with the Kalyani Group, where he led global corporate business strategy.
