Dubai, United Arab Emirates, October 2025 – Sharaf DG, one of the leading retail and technology conglomerates in the Middle East, has announced the appointment of Mihir Mohan as Head of Talent Acquisition. In his new role, Mihir will lead strategic hiring initiatives across Sharaf DG’s diverse business verticals, including retail, energy, franchise, and B2B, to support its growing regional footprint spanning the UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia.
Mihir brings over 15 years of progressive experience in talent acquisition and organizational growth, having built recruitment strategies across multiple industries and geographies. Prior to joining Sharaf DG, he served as Talent Acquisition Manager at PayFuture, a global fintech specializing in alternative payment solutions. At PayFuture, he led multi-location hiring across the Indian subcontinent, Africa, Southeast Asia, and LATAM, helping scale the company during a phase of rapid expansion and technology innovation.
Before this, Mihir served as Talent Acquisition Lead (Tech & Non-Tech) at PayFuture, where he was the first hire in the TA function and played a pivotal role in building the department from the ground up. His leadership ensured the creation of scalable, high-performing teams globally, contributing to PayFuture’s growth into a 120+ member organization recognized for driving financial inclusion across emerging markets.
Earlier, Mihir was part of Advanced Watertek Industries, a UAE-based and Australian-owned pioneer in water treatment systems, where he successfully built the company’s talent intelligence and recruitment capabilities. His performance and ability to deliver lean, cost-efficient hiring through zero agency spend earned him recognition from the company’s leadership team.
Prior to that, Mihir served as Talent Acquisition Manager at Union Properties PJSC, one of the UAE’s top real estate developers. In this role, he was instrumental in rebuilding the company’s leadership structure, hiring for C-suite roles across HR, Legal, Finance, and Property Leasing. His strong performance led to a promotion within months, highlighting his ability to align recruitment with organizational transformation goals.
Mihir’s earlier career includes key roles at ROUGE Pipeline and Process Services, DAMAC Properties, Executive Access India, Nugrid Consulting, and Contax Partners, where he gained deep exposure to executive search, research, and recruitment within industrial, real estate, and consulting domains. His extensive experience across sectors has shaped his ability to combine business understanding with talent strategy, ensuring strong alignment between hiring outcomes and organizational vision.
