Dubai, United Arab Emirates, January 2026 — SOLEN – Energizing Africa has announced the appointment of Mitesh Soni as Chief Executive Officer – Gas Power Business. Based in Dubai, Soni will spearhead SOLEN’s gas power portfolio, focusing on sustainable growth through clean fuel solutions, strengthening partnerships, driving innovation and expanding reliable energy access across African markets.
At SOLEN – Energizing Africa, Mitesh Soni has assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer – Gas Power Business, leading clean gas-based power initiatives, strategic partnerships and operational scale-up aligned with SOLEN’s mission of energizing Africa through reliable and sustainable energy solutions.
Previously, at Bridgin Power, Soni served as Group Chief Operating Officer, where he led group-wide operations, power plant management and project finance strategy across international markets.
Prior to this, he spent over eleven years with Shapoorji Pallonji Infrastructure Capital Company (SP Infra), progressing through leadership roles including Chief Executive Officer – Gas Power Business, Business Head – Gas Power Business, and Head – Planning, Monitoring & Controlling. He also concurrently served as Managing Director of Nutan Bidyut (Bangladesh) Ltd, a Shapoorji Pallonji Group company operating a 220 MW dual-fuel combined cycle power plant in Bangladesh, leading large-scale power generation, project finance and M&A initiatives.
Earlier, Soni held senior leadership and engineering roles at Adani Power Limited and Essar Power, strengthening his expertise in power plant operations, project execution and planning.
He began his professional career at Reliance Industries Limited, working as Operation Engineer at a 48 MW combined cycle power plant, building his foundational experience in power generation operations.
