Dubai, United Arab Emirates, December 2025 — Mohamed Garrana has been elevated to Chief Architect (CTO Office, Global Accounts) at Microsoft, marking a significant milestone in his eleven-year journey with the global technology leader. In this expanded role, he will drive high-impact architectural strategy for major international enterprise customers, partnering with senior stakeholders to accelerate innovation, strengthen digital transformation outcomes, and align cloud and AI architectures with business strategy.
In his most recent role at Microsoft, Mohamed Garrana served as Sr. Cloud Solution Architect – Global Accounts, where he spent close to three years supporting critical international customers across Japan and the Middle East. His work centered on advanced cloud architectures, modernization initiatives, and accelerating Azure adoption, establishing him as a trusted advisor within Microsoft’s global ecosystem.
Prior to this, he contributed significantly as Lead Cloud Solution Architect – Japan Global Accounts, where he played a central role in designing scalable cloud architectures and enabling strategic transformation programs for high-value enterprise clients. Before this, he spent over five years as Senior Cloud Solutions Architect (for Partners) – MEA HQ, where he drove partner capability building across the region, delivered large-scale workshops, and shaped the “SAP on Azure” partner acceleration motion—cementing his position as a world-wide subject matter expert for cloud infrastructure and management.
Before joining Microsoft’s global accounts and partner ecosystem, Mohamed Garrana served in the Middle East and Africa as Cloud Solutions Architect (for Customers), where he worked closely with high-potential organizations to accelerate Azure deployment and capability expansion. His contributions earned him multiple global recognitions, including Microsoft’s EPG World Wide Community Award and the ISV King Award.
His early career included impactful leadership roles at Emircom, where he served as Technical Team Lead overseeing datacenter design and implementation for Microsoft, VMware, and Cisco UCS technologies. Prior to that, he built foundational expertise at Mantrac Group, progressing through roles such as Group IT Service Delivery Lead, Group System Administrator, and System Administrator / Helpdesk, leading enterprise-scale infrastructure modernization, datacenter planning, virtualization deployments, and security initiatives across multiple countries.
