Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, July 2025 — Monika Marwah has taken on the role of Vice President – Workforce Enablement at HSBC, marking a significant milestone in her distinguished career spanning over 17 years in talent strategy, HR transformation, and workforce planning.
In her new role at HSBC, Monika will be responsible for advancing the organization’s people enablement strategy with a focus on building agile, future-ready teams and elevating workforce productivity across the region. Her deep expertise in leadership development, DEI programs, and HR operations is expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the bank’s evolving people agenda.
Prior to joining HSBC, Monika served as HR Director at BluePi, where she led the people strategy across the organization’s digital transformation initiatives. She was instrumental in spearheading a company-wide HR transformation, scaling hiring plans, launching career development frameworks, and enhancing employee experience through a robust feedback-led engagement model.
Before BluePi, Monika was associated with Amazon as Program Manager – APAC, Student Programs, where she managed end-to-end campus engagement and university hiring across the APAC region. She built and executed a scalable, inclusive student hiring strategy aligned with Amazon’s global talent needs.
Earlier, she held key leadership roles at NCR Corporation, where she led Talent Acquisition across India and GCC and drove strategic hiring, DEI, employer branding, and executive recruitment. Her earlier stints at Panacea Biotec, Star Worldwide Group, UNINOR (Telenor Group), and Yes Bank further shaped her expertise across sectors, functions, and HR domains including compensation, performance management, talent engagement, and L&D.
An alumna of Indian Institute of Management Calcutta and Institute of Management & Technology, Monika brings to HSBC a unique combination of strategic insight, executional excellence, and people-first leadership.
