Monika Potharkar joins Medline India as Senior Vice President

Pune, Maharashtra, India, October 2025 — Monika Potharkar has joined Medline India as Senior Vice President, bringing with her nearly three decades of leadership experience in global finance, capability center operations, and organizational transformation across the consumer goods and banking sectors. In this strategic role, she will focus on driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence from India in alignment with Medline’s mission to make healthcare run better.

Before joining Medline, Monika served as Senior Director of Finance and Site Lead for General Mills India, where she played a pivotal role in shaping the company’s global capability center. Over her 11-year tenure, she led finance operations, FP&A, risk and compliance, and expanded the center’s multi-functional capabilities across Finance, IT, Supply Chain, Sales, and Consumer Insights. She successfully built and scaled high-performing teams, implemented AI-driven workflow efficiencies, and spearheaded several global transformation initiatives that delivered significant cost savings and enhanced financial governance.

Under her leadership, General Mills’ India center emerged as a model for resilience and people-first culture, especially during the pandemic. Monika’s initiatives in women’s leadership, finance literacy, and corporate social responsibility demonstrated her deep commitment to talent development and inclusive growth.

Prior to her tenure at General Mills, Monika held key roles at Infosys, Deutsche Bank, ICICI Bank, and P.G. Bhagwat LLP, where she built deep expertise in financial operations, audit, and process excellence. Her early career spanned diverse roles in finance, consulting, and branch management, where she honed her analytical and strategic capabilities while leading multidisciplinary teams.

As Senior Vice President at Medline India, Monika will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency, driving global capability expansion, and developing leadership talent to strengthen Medline’s India operations as a global center of excellence. Her appointment reflects Medline’s continued investment in leadership and innovation to advance healthcare solutions worldwide.
