Denmark, December 2025 – Morten Engelund has started a new position as Group Vice President, People, Leadership and Performance at Novo Nordisk, taking on a global mandate spanning leadership development, talent and succession, total rewards, mobility, culture, and DEIB. In this role, he will shape enterprise-wide people and performance priorities, supporting Novo Nordisk’s purpose-driven growth and long-term impact in global healthcare.
In his current role as Group Vice President, People, Leadership and Performance at Novo Nordisk, Morten Engelund brings together deep expertise across people strategy, rewards, leadership, and organizational performance. His appointment reflects sustained trust in his ability to integrate people priorities with business outcomes at a global scale.
Immediately prior, he served as Corporate Vice President, Total Rewards and Mobility at Novo Nordisk, where he led global frameworks across rewards, mobility, and related governance—strengthening alignment, competitiveness, and consistency across markets.
Earlier, Morten Engelund held the role of Corporate Vice President, Finance and Operations, Region Europe, overseeing finance and operational priorities across a diverse regional footprint. Before that, he served as Vice President; Senior HR Partner and Executive Assistant to the EVP of Business Services & Compliance, gaining close exposure to enterprise leadership, governance, and strategic execution.
His career with Novo Nordisk also includes senior operational leadership roles such as Business Area Finance and Operations Director – Near East, where he was responsible for finance, supply chain, and IT operations across multiple countries, and Finance and Operations Director, Novo Nordisk Turkey. He began his journey at Novo Nordisk in Financial Assurance, building a strong foundation in governance and risk.
Prior to joining Novo Nordisk, Morten Engelund worked with KPMG in Denmark and the United States as an External Auditor, grounding his career in financial rigor, compliance, and professional services.
