Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, March 2025 – Narendra Agrawal has joined RBL Bank as President & Head of Branch Banking & Retail Liabilities, bringing extensive experience in retail banking, digital transformation, and strategic business growth. With a career spanning over two decades in the banking and financial services sector, Agrawal has played a pivotal role in expanding branch banking operations, driving customer acquisition strategies, and implementing digital innovations. In his new role, he will be responsible for enhancing RBL Bank’s branch network, strengthening retail liabilities, and leading digital transformation initiatives. His ability to optimize financial performance and execute customer-centric strategies will be instrumental in shaping RBL Bank’s growth trajectory.
Prior to joining RBL Bank, Narendra Agrawal had a distinguished career of over 20 years at Kotak Mahindra Bank, where he held key leadership roles, including President & National Branch Banking Head – Growth & Emerging Markets and President & National Branch Banking Head – Prime Markets. As a Kotak Leadership Team member, he played a significant role in expanding the bank’s retail banking footprint, driving deposits, MSME lending, wealth management, and digital payments. His leadership was instrumental in scaling branch operations and implementing digital banking solutions.
Before his tenure at Kotak Mahindra Bank, Agrawal worked at Citi as a Citigold Relationship Manager, where he specialized in wealth management and premium banking services. His earlier role at ICICI Bank as an Operations Manager provided him with a strong foundation in banking operations, customer service, and financial risk management.
Agrawal holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and has pursued executive education programs in fintech, financial blockchain, and digital transformation from Harvard Business School. His expertise in risk management, digital banking, and customer experience innovation will be key in positioning RBL Bank as a leader in retail banking and digital financial services.
