Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, December 2024 – Neha Gupta has joined UPL Ltd. as the Group Head – Total Rewards, where she will be responsible for driving the company’s global total rewards strategy. Neha’s role includes overseeing compensation, benefits, and rewards programs aligned with UPL’s strategic objectives across its global workforce.
Prior to joining UPL, Neha Gupta was with A.P. Moller – Maersk for over nine years, most recently serving as the Global Rewards Partnering Lead for Delivery, Products, and Infrastructure. In this role, she led the total rewards strategy for over 50,000 employees, institutionalized global frontline rewards standards, and managed executive pay for the company’s top leadership.
Earlier, Neha held the role of Global Rewards Partner – Strategic Brands at Maersk, where she designed total rewards frameworks for ventures in decarbonization, energy startups, and trade finance. She also played a key role in supporting Maersk’s green energy initiatives by aligning rewards strategies with business goals and market dynamics.
Her career at Maersk also included the position of Regional Rewards Head for Europe and Africa, where she designed regional sales incentive plans, managed global insurance programs, and implemented a unified bonus plan across 90+ countries. Neha’s expertise extended to managing complex mobility assignments and addressing volatile market challenges.
Prior to her tenure at Maersk, Neha served as VP – Compensation at Nomura, where she led rewards strategies for global corporate functions and the India region, managed deferred compensation plans, and oversaw year-end salary and bonus reviews.
Neha holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) with dual majors in HR and Finance from the prestigious Symbiosis Centre for Management and Human Resource Development, earned between 2002 and 2004.
