New Delhi, India, July 2025 — Niva Bupa Health Insurance has announced the appointment of Nipun Bansal as Head – Talent Acquisition, marking a strategic move to further strengthen the organization’s talent strategy. With over a decade of experience in human resources, particularly in talent acquisition and leadership hiring across the banking sector, Nipun brings a sharp business-aligned perspective to his new role.

Prior to joining Niva Bupa, Nipun served as Vice President – Talent Acquisition at IDFC FIRST Bank, where he led critical hiring initiatives across the bank’s Branch Banking, Commercial Banking, Wealth Management, and Fintech Partnerships verticals. His role expanded to include corporate and central functions, where he was instrumental in designing and executing high-impact recruitment strategies and leadership hiring frameworks.

Earlier in his career, Nipun had an extensive tenure at HDFC Bank, rising through the ranks to become Regional Head – Talent Acquisition for Wholesale, Commercial, and Rural Banking functions across North, East, and Central India. Known for his early rise in the HR function, he became the youngest supervisor in the bank’s talent acquisition team. He led a large team of senior recruiters and implemented scalable and effective hiring practices that supported aggressive business expansion.

Nipun’s experience also includes time as an HR Generalist, where he managed over 1,100 employees across several states. His foundation in HR operations and deep understanding of end-to-end recruitment processes have equipped him with the ability to blend strategic thinking with on-the-ground execution.

At Niva Bupa, Nipun will be responsible for driving the company’s talent acquisition roadmap, supporting its vision of becoming India’s most admired health insurance brand. His focus will include strengthening recruitment operations, building future-ready talent pipelines, and ensuring alignment with the organization’s purpose of delivering confidence in healthcare access.
