Kolkata, West Bengal, India, April 2025 – Nishant Kumar has joined Paharpur Cooling Towers as Chief Human Resource Officer, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished career spanning over two decades in human resource leadership and transformation across the industrial and energy sectors.

In his new role, Nishant will be responsible for leading people strategy, strengthening organizational culture, and aligning HR systems with Paharpur’s continued global growth and innovation. He will also oversee talent development, leadership capability building, and drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Paharpur, Nishant served at Cairn Oil and Gas for nearly six years, where he held multiple leadership positions including CHRO – Business HR, CHRO – RJ Oil, and Deputy CHRO, playing a pivotal role in shaping the HR strategy across its operations in Gujarat and Rajasthan. His tenure was marked by effective change management, analytical rigor, and collaborative problem-solving in dynamic environments.

Earlier in his career, Nishant led strategic HR efforts as Lead HR Business Partner for Cairn’s Midstream Operations, where he contributed significantly to aligning people initiatives with business outcomes and operational goals.

Nishant holds a Post Graduate degree in Rural Development from Xavier Institute of Social Service, and has further strengthened his HR expertise through the Executive Programme in Human Resource Management from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta.
