Pune, Maharashtra, India, May 2025 — Nitin Kohli has been appointed as Brand Director of Volkswagen Passenger Cars by Škoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL), marking a key milestone in his long-standing association with the automotive industry. Backed by 25 years of experience, Kohli has been a driving force in sales, operations, and customer engagement across several leading automobile brands.
Having spent more than 12 years at Audi India, he has held pivotal roles such as Head of Sales Operations and Network Development, Head of Sales Operations, and Zonal Sales Manager for North & East. During his tenure, Kohli played a significant role in shaping the brand’s go-to-market strategies, dealer expansion and optimizing customer experience.
Before joining Audi India, Kohli spent over 12 years at Tata Motors, where he handled progressive roles from Territory Manager (PVBU) to Regional Sales Manager – Passenger Cars and Utility Vehicles, and ultimately as Regional Manager – NCR. His diverse portfolio at Tata Motors included product management, regional strategy and sales leadership across geographies.
He began his career at TAFE – Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited as Territory Executive – Sales, gaining foundational experience in territory management and sales operations.
In his new role at Volkswagen Passenger Cars, Kohli will be tasked with strengthening the brand’s position in the Indian market. His focus will be on shaping Volkswagen’s growth strategy, expanding its customer base, and enhancing brand relevance in one of the world’s most dynamic automotive markets.
This appointment is in line with SAVWIPL’s vision to empower experienced Indian professionals to lead global brands locally, ensuring deeper market insights and stronger consumer connections.
