Frankfurt, Germany, September 2025 – Northern Data Group, a global leader in AI and High-Performance Computing (HPC) solutions, has announced significant leadership appointments that reflect its long-term strategic vision to scale innovation and drive growth across global markets.
In a major update, John Hoffman has been elevated to co-CEO, joining founder Aroosh Thillainathan in spearheading the company’s ambitious growth strategy. Hoffman, who has nearly two decades of experience in capital markets and technology, previously served as Northern Data Group’s Chief Operating Officer. His earlier leadership roles include serving as Managing Director at RBC Capital Markets and Credit Suisse, as well as senior roles at Lazard and Cowen Inc.
Succeeding Hoffman as Group Chief Operating Officer is Scott Bailey, who brings nearly 30 years of expertise in energy, technology, and data center innovation. Bailey most recently served as CEO of USystems, a UK-based leader in cooling solutions for international data and telecom markets. His extensive background also includes leadership roles at Prism Enclosures, Eaton, and Smartcom.
Further strengthening the company’s technology leadership, Chandan Rajah joins as Group Chief Technology Officer. Rajah brings over 25 years of experience across global technology giants, having held senior roles at AWS, where he drove Generative AI strategy across EMEA, and Facebook, where he led applied AI initiatives. Most recently, Rajah served as Chief Technologist at SambaNova Systems, focusing on cutting-edge generative AI applications. He also founded Parallel AI, a B2B AI and blockchain solutions company.
In recognition of the importance of culture and talent, Charlotte Park has been promoted to Group Chief People Officer. With 15 years of global HR leadership experience, including senior roles at Contino (a Cognizant company) and IHS Towers, Park will focus on scaling Northern Data Group’s people strategy and driving cultural transformation across multiple geographies.
Founder and CEO Aroosh Thillainathan emphasized the significance of these appointments, stating that the expanded leadership team brings together unparalleled expertise in finance, operations, technology, and people. “This team reflects our commitment to driving innovation at scale while building a resilient and future-ready organization,” he said.
