Nydia R. Joins Valmet as HR Director, People Operations North America

Atlanta, Georgia, United States, July 2025 — Nydia R. has taken on a new leadership role as HR Director, People Operations North America at Valmet, a global leader in process technologies and automation solutions. In her new capacity, she will be instrumental in shaping people strategies and delivering operational excellence across Valmet’s North American workforce.

With more than two decades of HR leadership experience across the manufacturing, engineering, and technology sectors, Nydia brings deep expertise in talent management, organizational effectiveness, and change leadership to Valmet. She will operate in a hybrid capacity out of the Atlanta Metropolitan Area and report into the regional HR leadership structure.

Prior to joining Valmet, Nydia served in various senior HR leadership roles at Novelis. Most recently, she was HR Director – Global Manufacturing Excellence and R&D, where she led global initiatives around capability building, organizational design, and cultural engagement. She also held the roles of Senior HR Business Partner and Sr. Manager, Talent Management, where she championed strategic workforce development and oversaw the relocation of the company’s global headquarters.

Nydia’s earlier tenure at Siemens spanned nearly 15 years, where she advanced through roles such as Talent Management Partner, HR Business Partner, and HR Infrastructure Advisor, working across the U.S. and Canada. Her efforts consistently focused on aligning people strategies with evolving business needs and fostering inclusive, high-performance cultures.

Nydia holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources from the University of Cincinnati Carl H. Lindner College of Business and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Tecnológico de Monterrey, where she graduated with distinction.

Her appointment underscores Valmet’s continued investment in people-first strategies and its commitment to operational excellence across North America.
