O P Singh Appointed as CEO & Co-Managing Director of Burnet Pharmaceuticals

Thane, Maharashtra, India, April 2025 – O P Singh has taken on the role of Chief Executive Officer & Co-Managing Director at Burnet Pharmaceuticals, marking a return to a company that played a significant role in the early days of his career. With decades of leadership in India’s pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors, Singh is set to steer Burnet through an ambitious phase of innovation, cultural transformation, and market expansion.

Most recently, O P Singh served as Group CEO of Akums Group for about three years, where he led India’s largest contract manufacturing organization, driving operational scale, strategic partnerships, and growth initiatives.

Prior to this, he spent nearly seven years at Cadila Pharmaceuticals Limited as President – Sales & Marketing, where he oversaw large-scale commercial strategy and significantly expanded market share across key therapeutic segments.

Earlier, Singh spent over 15 years at Zydus Group, where he held multiple senior roles including Director (Chief of Biochem) and Sr. Vice President – Sales & Marketing. He led strategic business units across mass specialty and nephro-urology, managing a portfolio worth ₹300 crore and a team of over 700 professionals.

Singh’s journey in pharma began with Burnet Pharmaceuticals, where he served as Sales Director for three years in the mid-90s. His early foundation was built at GSK, where he worked for seven years.

He holds an Executive Diploma from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, reinforcing his strategic and leadership capabilities across business functions.
