Panipat, Haryana, India, March 2025 – Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has appointed Om Prakash as Chief General Manager (Human Resources). With an extensive career at IOCL spanning over seven years, Om Prakash brings expertise in human resources, employee services, and organizational development. In his new role, he will oversee HR strategy, talent management, and employee engagement, contributing to IOCL’s continued growth and operational excellence.
Before assuming his new position, Om Prakash served as General Manager (Employee Services) at Indian Oil Corporation’s Paradip Refinery in Odisha, where he played a key role in HR policies, employee engagement, and workforce management. Prior to this, he was General Manager (Projects) at Paradip Refinery, responsible for project execution, commissioning, and operational efficiency, demonstrating his leadership in project management and engineering.

Previously, he held the role of General Manager (Learning & Development, TPM) at IOCL’s headquarters in New Delhi, focusing on employee training, talent development, and total productive maintenance (TPM). His contributions to HR innovation, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives have significantly impacted IOCL’s workforce capabilities and operational standards.
Om Prakash holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Human Resource Management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon, and is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT). His appointment reflects IOCL’s commitment to strengthening its HR leadership, fostering employee growth, and driving excellence in the energy sector.
