With more than 15 years of progressive leadership experience in talent strategy, M&A integration, and organizational development, Onna’s appointment underscores Miller’s commitment to building scalable, people-centric HR practices that support growth, compliance, and cultural alignment across geographies.
As CHRO, Onna O’Meara will lead the company’s overall people strategy with a focus on advancing talent development, enhancing employee experience, and strengthening the HR infrastructure to support long-term business sustainability.
Prior to joining Miller Environmental Group, Onna O’Meara served as Chief People Officer at Vertex Service Partners, where she led the integration of 21 acquisitions by building a scalable HR infrastructure. She streamlined payroll, benefits, and HRIS systems, reducing administrative costs by over $1.1 million annually. Her leadership also resulted in the launch of new health and retirement benefits, implementation of talent management frameworks, and a notable Employee Net Promoter Score (eNPS) of 52, reflecting high employee engagement and cultural alignment.
Before her tenure at Vertex, O’Meara was Vice President of Talent Management and Development at Arrive Logistics for nearly four years. She spearheaded the creation of a comprehensive leadership academy, established multiple ERGs, and scaled the learning and development function significantly. She also developed onboarding strategies and mentorship programs, helping the company manage rapid growth and improve talent retention.
Earlier, O’Meara held various senior HR roles at Comcast over six years, culminating in her position as Senior Manager – Emerging Leadership. In this role, she led talent strategy initiatives for 15,000+ frontline employees, established large-scale talent pools, and implemented data-driven hiring and succession practices across the Western U.S. She previously served as Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and Management, where she built Comcast’s first division-wide internship program, enhanced DEI outcomes, and drove engagement through structured retention strategies.
She began her career with Target, where over six years she advanced from Executive Team Leader to Senior Recruiter, leading campus and healthcare recruiting efforts and building strong foundations in employer branding and workforce strategy.
