Ndola, Copperbelt Province, Zambia, December 2024 – Onyekachukwu Oliver Obu has joined Dangote Cement Zambia as Chief Financial Officer, where he will lead the financial and accounting operations and provide strategic leadership to support the company’s growth in Zambia and the region.
With over a decade of experience in finance and data-driven decision-making, Onyekachukwu Oliver Obu brings exceptional expertise to his new role. Prior to this appointment, he served as the Group Financial Controller at Dangote Cement Plc, where he spearheaded financial insights and reporting initiatives, contributing to EBITDA growth of over $3 billion annually. His tenure at Dangote Cement Plc also included roles as Head of Internal Reporting & Planning, where he led strategic data analysis and performance reporting, and Business Analyst, focusing on corporate finance and data-driven decision support.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Oliver expanded his data expertise as a Data Scientist at 10Alytics, where he applied advanced data analysis techniques to derive actionable insights and develop statistical models. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable experience as a Research Analyst at Kakawa Asset Management Limited.
