Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, a leading entity within the Spirax Group, a FTSE 100 Company, has announced the appointment of Owen Herbert as the new Head of HR, Supply & Operations.
Owen Herbert is stepping into this role with a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership and innovation in human resources and operational management.
Prior to joining Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions, Herbert served as the Senior HR Director – Global Strategic People Partner at Premier Research. In this role, he was instrumental in evolving the Commercial Operations functions to support broader business growth, particularly in a Contract Research Organisation (CRO) with a global workforce of 2,500 employees and a revenue of $500 million.
Before his tenure at Premier Research, Herbert was part of Thermo Fisher Scientific for over seven years, holding the position of HR Director from July 2018 to January 2023. During this period, he played a critical role as a Strategic HR Business Partner, supporting Sales and Customer Service leadership teams within a dynamic business division.
Owen Herbert’s career also includes significant roles at other prestigious organizations, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, BT Group, sanofi-aventis, Ford Motor Company, and Sainsbury’s, where he accumulated a diverse range of experiences that have shaped his leadership and HR management philosophy.
