Jodhpur, Rajasthan, India, July 2024 – Pankaj Poddar has been appointed as the new Senior Vice President – HR (Strategy and Planning) at Birla White. With extensive experience in HR strategy and planning, Pankaj is set to lead the HR operations and strategic initiatives at Birla White.
Pankaj’s most recent position was at Birla White, where he served as the Vice President Human Resources (FH HR) for six months. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing HR operations at the Birla White plant and the complete sales team.
Before joining Birla White, Pankaj worked at UltraTech Cement for over three years as the Vice President – HR (Functional Head). Here, he managed HR, IR, and administration for an integrated cement plant, two grinding units, and a mining operation. His responsibilities also included managing schools, colony management, hospitals, and CSR activities.
Earlier, Pankaj held the position of AGM – HR & IR (Plant HR Head) at AVI-OIL INDIA [P] LTD for over a decade. He led the HR department and was responsible for training, appraisals, administration, and IR for the company. Pankaj was recognized with an achievement award in May 2015 for his long-term service.
His career also includes significant roles at Reliance Energy, where he served as the Senior HR Manager, overseeing HR functions for the power sector, and earlier as the Assistant Manager – HR at AVI-OIL INDIA [P] LTD.
