Pankaj Sureka brings to Vedanta Aluminium Business a rich background in human resources management, having previously served in several high-profile roles across various industry giants. His career highlights include serving as Vice President – Rewards at Reliance Industries Limited, where he led the rewards team focusing on compensation design and implementation. His tenure at Reliance also saw him working on Long Term Incentive Plan designs and leadership hiring support for the recruitment team. Prior to his role at Reliance, Sureka was the Senior General Manager Learning and Development, where he was instrumental in developing competency frameworks and institutionalizing Reliance Corporate University. His career also includes significant stints at Wipro Technologies and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, bringing a wealth of experience in employee engagement, compensation management, and HR transformation.
Educationally, Sureka is well-prepared for his role, holding an M.A. in HRM & LR from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences and a B.Tech in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee. His academic background, coupled with his extensive experience, positions him well to lead Vedanta Aluminium Business’s HR initiatives towards achieving excellence in HR practices.
