London, England, United Kingdom, April 2025 – Paul Lawrenson has taken on a new role as Vice President, Global Talent at Ørsted, where he will lead the company’s integrated global talent agenda including talent attraction, acquisition, performance, leadership & learning, and DEI. This promotion underscores Ørsted’s continued focus on building a high-impact people strategy aligned with its global renewable energy mission.
Paul has been with Ørsted for over two years, previously serving as Global Head of Talent Acquisition, where he successfully led a team of 60 in delivering 2,000 hires annually across Europe, APAC, and the Americas. He was instrumental in executing a transformative strategy for global talent acquisition, modernizing systems and processes, and advancing data-led decision-making.

Prior to joining Ørsted, Paul held the position of Head of International Talent Acquisition at Uber, overseeing a team of 200 and managing hiring across 70 countries. His earlier roles include senior talent leadership positions at Expedia Group, where he led TA strategy, talent management, and implemented large-scale transformation programs including a global talent marketplace.
Paul also brings deep HR transformation experience from his 10+ year tenure at BP, where he led global talent acquisition programs and people analytics initiatives. His career began in consulting and resourcing roles with Cezanne HR and Vauxhall Motors, giving him a rich foundation in HR technology and process design.
