Nashville, Tennessee, United States, July 2025 — Phil Johnson has stepped into the role of Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at EIS, a leading North American distributor of process materials, production supplies, and engineered fabrication. With a proven track record in building high-performance, people-first organizations, Phil now leads the HR strategy for EIS as it continues its mission to support innovation and operational excellence across the industrial and electronics value chain.
Before joining EIS, Phil served as CHRO at Saxco International, where he played a pivotal role in driving safety initiatives, cost efficiencies, DEI advancements, and talent acquisition. His leadership contributed to Saxco’s successful exit and integration into the Novvia Group. He previously held multiple HR leadership positions at PepsiCo, overseeing large workforces across manufacturing, distribution, and sales. At PepsiCo, Phil earned recognition for successfully managing labor relations, implementing strategic human capital initiatives, and driving frontline recruiting and employee engagement across unionized and non-unionized environments.
Phil began his career with roles at the Illinois Leadership Center, Emerson Electric Co., and later built his foundation in HR leadership through an MHRIR degree from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. His leadership style is rooted in creating collaborative and inclusive work environments that drive organizational performance while supporting the personal and professional growth of employees.
