Kenya, January 2026 —Rael Awuor has stepped into the role of Head of Human Resources at Angama, marking a significant leadership milestone within the luxury safari brand known for its high-touch hospitality experiences across East Africa.
In her new position, Rael will lead the people strategy across Angama’s operations in Kenya and South Africa, overseeing workforce planning, talent development, performance management, labour relations, payroll coordination, and statutory compliance. Her people-first approach, grounded in respect, care and integrity, aligns closely with Angama’s culture of service excellence and community impact.
Rael has been part of Angama for over two years, most recently serving as Human Resource Business Partner, where she provided end-to-end leadership across the employee lifecycle — from recruitment and onboarding to learning, performance management, and dispute resolution. Prior to that, she led Talent Management, strengthening succession planning frameworks and performance systems within the organisation.
Before joining Angama, Rael worked as a Human Resource Business Partner | Consultant at RA Coaching Hub Kenya, advising organisations on strategic HR interventions and operational excellence.
Earlier in her career, she held senior roles at Digital Divide Data (DDD), including Lead, Learning & Development and Social Impact, where she managed training programs, donor-funded initiatives, mentorship structures, and employability programs that supported workforce transitions into meaningful employment. She also served as Training, Learning & Development Supervisor and Project Coordinator | Project Team Lead, building strong foundations in organisational development and stakeholder management.
Her elevation reflects Angama’s continued investment in strengthening its leadership bench and fostering a culture that supports both guest experience and community impact.
