Rakesh K brings over 25 years of experience in the financial services and wealth management industry, combining deep market insight with a proven track record in business leadership and client strategy.
Prior to joining Equentis, Rakesh served as Associate Director at Shriram Group of Companies, where he was instrumental in expanding the firm’s private wealth and investment portfolio, strengthening client relationships, and driving advisory excellence across key regions in India.
Before his tenure at Shriram, he held the position of Senior Vice President and Zonal Head – South at Fisdom Private Wealth, a technology-led wealth management firm. There, he led regional business operations, building a strong distribution network and promoting innovation in digital financial solutions.
Earlier, Rakesh was Associate Director at Anand Rathi Private Wealth Management, where he focused on strategic client acquisition and portfolio growth, and Regional Head – South Wealth Management at Aditya Birla Finance Limited, where he successfully led wealth management operations across southern India.
He also held key leadership positions at Religare Private Wealth, Motilal Oswal Financial Services, and JM Financial Services, leading business strategy, distribution sales, and primary market operations. Rakesh began his career at ICICI Prudential Life Insurance and Taylor Nelson Sofres, where he developed foundational expertise in financial markets, client relations, and data-driven decision-making.
