New Delhi, Delhi, India, January 2025 – Rakesh Singh Gautam has started his new position as Vice President Human Resources at About Relaxo Footwears Limited, where he will oversee HR strategies to support the company’s dynamic growth in the Indian and global footwear markets. With over three decades of experience across various industries, Rakesh brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Rakesh Singh Gautam has held several influential HR roles throughout his career. Prior to joining Relaxo Footwears, he served as Chief Human Resources Officer at The Press Trust Of India Ltd.- PTI for nearly three years, where he implemented innovative HR policies to enhance organizational effectiveness.
Before his tenure at PTI, Rakesh was Director-HR & IR at Hindustan Media Ventures Limited, where he contributed significantly to employee relations and HR transformation over a decade-long tenure. His role demonstrated his capability to manage large-scale HR operations in the media sector.
Rakesh also served as Sr. VP HR at Bata India Limited for over six years, overseeing talent acquisition, development, and leadership training for one of India’s leading retail brands. He further enriched his expertise as Director – HR at Whirlpool of India, where he supported business expansion strategies through robust HR frameworks.
He began his career with Hindustan Unilever Ltd, gaining foundational experience in HR management during his seven years with the organization, followed by impactful tenures at Becton Dickinson India Pvt. Limited (BD) and other leading companies.
