Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, October 2025 — Raktim Das has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer of Zee Media Corporation Limited, marking a significant milestone in the network’s growth and transformation journey. With over two decades of leadership experience spanning television, print, and digital media, Raktim brings extensive expertise in content strategy, digital transformation, business growth, and brand innovation. In his new role, he will lead Zee Media’s strategic initiatives across its television, digital, and new-age media platforms, steering the organization toward sustained growth and creative excellence.
Before rejoining Zee Media, Raktim served as Chief Growth Officer (Digital & Broadcasting) at Associated Broadcasting Co. Pvt Ltd (TV9 Network), where he played a pivotal role in accelerating the network’s growth across broadcast, digital, and OTT platforms. He also led Studio9, the branded content division, fostering convergence between storytelling and business innovation. Under his leadership, TV9 achieved record-breaking digital reach and revenue milestones through integrated content strategies and cutting-edge brand solutions.
Previously, Raktim was part of Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited as Executive Cluster Head – Innovation Studio & Custom Content, where he led the ZEE Innovation Studio to new heights, developing industry-defining branded content properties such as Super Mechanic Contest, Truck Aasana, and Dare to Dream Series. His earlier tenure at Zee Media Corporation Limited between 2008 and 2013 as Business Head & Senior Vice President was equally transformative—he successfully revived Zee Business, increasing its market share from 12% to a leadership position within 10 months and achieving a 200% growth in reach and 60% improvement in profitability.
Raktim’s career includes key leadership positions at Network18 Media & Investments Limited, where he spearheaded digital transformation and cross-screen engagement strategies; NewsX, where he served as President, leading the channel to record audience and revenue growth; and India Today Group, where he launched Indian editions of global brands such as Harvard Business Review, Men’s Health, and Scientific American. He began his career with The Times of India, contributing to the growth of TOI’s Ascent supplement during its formative years.
Known as a visionary media strategist, Raktim has been instrumental in creating award-winning branded content IPs, fostering technology-led convergence, and driving innovation at the intersection of content, commerce, and community. As CEO, he will now focus on expanding Zee Media’s digital footprint, deepening audience engagement, and positioning the network for the future of multi-platform journalism and storytelling.
