Omaha, Nebraska, United States, October 2025 — Lutheran Family Services (LFS) has announced the appointment of Ralph Kellogg as Chief Human Resources Officer, marking a significant leadership elevation within the organization. In this role, Ralph will lead all aspects of people strategy, talent management, and organizational culture, ensuring that LFS continues to strengthen its mission-driven workforce in serving communities across Nebraska and Iowa.
Ralph has been part of Lutheran Family Services for over five years, advancing through multiple leadership roles that have shaped the organization’s people-first culture. He most recently served as Executive Vice President, People and Training, where he led employee development, training programs, and HR initiatives that enhanced engagement and service delivery across the organization. Prior to that, as Vice President, People and Training, Ralph played a pivotal role in aligning workforce practices with LFS’s mission, driving both operational efficiency and employee well-being. His earlier tenure as Assistant Vice President, Human Resources laid the groundwork for impactful HR governance and talent growth.
In addition to his leadership at LFS, Ralph contributes actively to the academic and professional community. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at both the University of Nebraska at Omaha and Bellevue University, teaching graduate students in human resources and leadership development. He also facilitates DiSC and team management workshops, helping professionals build effective teams and understand interpersonal dynamics in organizational contexts.
Ralph’s commitment to promoting compassionate leadership and mental health awareness is reflected in his work as a TEDxOmaha Speaker, where he delivered a talk titled “ACT Now”, focusing on how leaders can engage in meaningful conversations around mental health at work. He has also been a keynote speaker for McLean & Company, sharing strategies to destigmatize anxiety and foster psychological safety in workplaces.
Earlier in his career, Ralph held senior HR leadership roles at Centris Federal Credit Union, where he served as Vice President of Human Resources, leading initiatives that increased employee engagement, redesigned performance management processes, and implemented award-winning leadership development programs. His previous experience spans organizations such as Nebraska Appleseed, YWCAs, Commercial Federal/Bank of the West, and Concord Center, giving him deep expertise in HR operations, finance, and organizational strategy.
