Pune, Maharashtra, India, September 2025 – ArcelorMittal Global Business & Technologies (AMGBT) has announced the appointment of Ravichandran Ramanathan as Site Head and Head of Purchasing Workstream at its Pune Centre. With a strong background in purchasing, supply chain, and digital transformation, Ravichandran’s leadership is expected to further solidify AMGBT’s strategic focus on building capabilities in India while advancing its global commitment to smarter, cleaner, and more sustainable steelmaking.
Ravichandran brings over 17 years of experience at ArcelorMittal Europe Tubular Products, where he most recently served as Head of Business Unit – Industry, following a long tenure leading Procurement, Supply Chain, and Digital Transformation. His contributions spanned across geographies and functions, positioning him as a seasoned executive with deep insight into ArcelorMittal’s global operations.
Before joining ArcelorMittal, he worked at Tech Mahindra (Satyam Computer Services) for over three years as a Consultant, where he was involved in client-focused business solutions. He previously held key supply chain and materials management roles at LG India and Panasonic India, further shaping his expertise in operational efficiency and vendor ecosystem management.
Ravichandran began his career at Electrolux, where he spent six years progressing to the role of Assistant Manager, laying the groundwork for his extensive experience in materials, logistics, and procurement systems.
