Goyal, CFA has been elevated to Executive Director at JM Financial Ltd, where he will play a pivotal role in strengthening the firm’s private equity relationship and advisory practice, reinforcing JM Financial’s reputation as one of India’s most prominent investment banking players.
With nearly two decades of experience across mergers and acquisitions, private equity advisory, financial structuring, and cross-border transactions, Ravindra brings a proven track record of executing complex, high-value deals. At Axis Capital Ltd., where he served as Senior Vice President – M&A, he played a central role in landmark transactions such as Axis Bank’s USD 1.6 billion acquisition of Citibank’s India consumer business, Bain Capital’s 25% stake purchase in 360 One (erstwhile IIFL Wealth) for USD 485 million, as well as platform sales including Aavas Financiers to Kedaara & Partners and Veeda Clinical Research to a consortium led by CX Partners.
Earlier in his career, Ravindra held leadership roles at SBI Capital Markets and Citigroup Venture Capital (CVC), where he gained extensive expertise in renewable energy, aviation, retail, and consumer sectors. His early career included a stint at JM Financial (erstwhile ASK Raymond James) as a research associate, where he covered infrastructure companies and institutional investment opportunities.
In his new role, Ravindra’s deep expertise and relationships across BFSI, healthcare, and consumer sectors will be crucial in driving JM Financial’s advisory growth and building on its position as a trusted partner for institutional and corporate clients navigating complex financial landscapes. His elevation also reflects the firm’s focus on scaling its investment banking and private equity advisory verticals in line with evolving market opportunities.
