Wheaton, Illinois, United States, July 2024 – Rene Carne-Drogos has been promoted to the position of Vice President Human Resources, Benefits & Leave Specialist at First Trust. In this new role, Rene will oversee HR operations, benefits administration, and leave management, ensuring compliance and excellence in employee support services.
Rene Carne-Drogos has been with First Trust for over 12 years. Most recently, she served as the Vice President, HRIS & Time Management Administrator, where she was responsible for overseeing HR information systems and managing timekeeping processes, contributing significantly to the organization’s operational efficiency.
Previously, Rene held the position of Assistant Vice President Human Resources, HRIS & Time Management Administrator, where she managed HRIS and time management systems, ensuring data integrity and compliance with company policies. Her role also involved supporting employees with benefits, policies, and leave-related queries.
Before that, Rene was an HR Benefits & Payroll Compliance Auditor at First Trust. In this role, she conducted audits to ensure payroll and benefits compliance, managed payroll processes, and resolved related issues, demonstrating her expertise in payroll and compliance management.
Prior to joining First Trust, Rene worked as a Mgr. of Payroll, Office Services, & HR Administration at PromoWorks, where she managed payroll staff and operations, handled HR administrative functions, and oversaw office services, contributing to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of HR operations.
Earlier in her career, Rene served as a Corporate HR Coordinator / Administrative Coordinator at Royal & SunAlliance, coordinating HR activities for corporate and field offices, preparing critical HR reports, and managing employee relocations and orientations. She also held the position of Manager – Administrative Services at Baan Company, where she managed administrative staff, facilities, and HR functions, ensuring smooth office operations and effective HR management.
