Gurgaon, Haryana, India, May 2025 — Richa Jha has been elevated to Director – Human Resources at MakeMyTrip, marking another significant milestone in her professional journey with the leading online travel company. Her elevation reflects the organisation’s people-first culture and commitment to nurturing internal talent.

Since joining MakeMyTrip in 2022 as Associate Director – Human Resources, Richa has played a key role in shaping and executing HR strategies across crucial pillars such as talent acquisition, employee engagement, leadership development, and diversity and inclusion. Her impactful contributions have supported the organisation’s efforts to build a future-ready and resilient workforce, especially as the travel industry navigates rapid transformation in the post-pandemic era.

Her career spans over 15 years across some of the most respected organisations. Prior to MakeMyTrip, Richa served as Human Resources Lead – India at Lexin, where she drove people practices for the company’s India operations. Before that, she worked with Walmart as Manager – Talent Architecture, playing a key role in building talent frameworks and driving talent-related initiatives.

Earlier in her career, Richa gained extensive experience in HR leadership roles at organisations such as Aurigene Discovery Technologies, where she served as Location HR Head, Reliance Retail as Deputy Manager HR, and Biocon as Senior Executive HR, where she oversaw performance management and career development processes. She started her journey in HR at wepsol, managing end-to-end business HR responsibilities across multiple locations in India.

With this elevation, Richa Jha will now focus on advancing employee well-being, driving leadership and capability development, and reinforcing a strong workplace culture aligned with MakeMyTrip’s evolving growth agenda.

Matthew Breitfelder is Partner and Global Head of Human Capital at Apollo, where he focuses on attracting extraordinary talent to the firm and creating an innovative, inclusive, high-performance culture that brings out the best in Apollo’s people. Matt leads Apollo’s recruiting, talent management, compensation, succession planning, citizenship, employee relations, development, and culture work. He is also a member of the firm’s Leadership Team. Matt is committed to expanding opportunities across Apollo’s workplace, marketplace, and communities. Prior to joining Apollo, Matt was Chief Talent Officer at BlackRock as well as a member of the Operating Committee. Previously, he held strategy, talent, and innovation roles at Mastercard, PwC, and CEB/Gartner.

Matt holds a BA in Economics from the University of Southern California, an MSc from the London School of Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He currently serves on the boards of the Lumina Foundation, the Aspen Institute’s Business and Society program, the Milken Institute’s Inclusive Capitalism initiative, and Georgetown University’s initiative on AI, Analytics, and the Future of Work. He is the co-author of numerous Harvard Business School case studies and articles on leadership. Matt has been recognized as a Top Global CHRO multiple times by n2Growth and Stanford Business School.
