Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2024 – Rishi Gaind has been named the Head of Human Resources for the RIL-Disney joint venture. In this role, Rishi will lead HR strategy, focusing on talent management, leadership development, diversity, and inclusion for the organization’s extensive media operations, including television, film, and OTT platforms.
Rishi Gaind brings over two decades of HR leadership experience to his new role. Since April 2019, he has served as Head of Human Resources at Disney Star India, where he was instrumental in driving HR policies that fostered an inclusive, innovative, and high-performance workplace.
Before this, Rishi held the role of Executive Vice President – Human Resources at Star India Pvt Ltd, a position he occupied for over 16 years. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in the company’s growth, talent development, and organizational culture transformation.
Rishi also worked as Human Resources Manager at Computer Associates India Pvt Ltd, where he focused on HR operations and employee relations. His early career included a role as Senior Officer – Human Resources at Grindwell Norton Ltd, part of the Saint-Gobain Group, where he honed his skills in HR functions and workforce management.
