Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2026 — Roche Diagnostics has announced a key leadership transition for its India and Neighboring Markets business. Effective August 1, 2026, Marco Valencia Sanchez will assume the role of General Manager, Roche Diagnostics India, succeeding Rishubh Gupta, who has been appointed Head of Subregion Africa for Roche Diagnostics, based in Nairobi, Kenya.
Rishubh Gupta, who joined Roche India in 2023, successfully navigated complex market dynamics and strengthened the organisation’s focus on expanding diagnostic access across India and its neighboring markets. In his new regional role, he will join the Roche Diagnostics EMEA-LATAM Leadership Team.
Reflecting on his tenure, Rishubh Gupta said:

Marco Valencia Sanchez assumes leadership of Roche Diagnostics India following a distinguished 17-year career with Roche, during which he has held key global, regional, and affiliate leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Country Manager for Roche Diagnostics Philippines, where he spent the past four years driving significant market growth and operational excellence. He will relocate to Mumbai with his family to assume his new responsibilities.
