Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, February 2025 – Rocky Sasmal has joined Tesco to lead the learning & development charter for Tesco Business Solutions across Bengaluru, Budapest, Dundee, and Waterford. In his new role, he will focus on driving impactful learning experiences, fostering professional growth, and building a future-ready workforce across these dynamic locations.
Before joining Tesco, Rocky served as Global Talent Management Leader at Lowe’s India, where he played a key role in HR programs, digital transformation, and talent management strategies. Prior to that, he worked as Chief of Staff & Senior Leader for Talent and HR Programs, leading HR transformation and workforce engagement initiatives.
Earlier, Rocky spent over four years at Diageo, where he held leadership roles in Learning & Development and Talent Management for APAC markets, Global Technology, and Global GCCs. His expertise in organizational learning, leadership development, and performance management was instrumental in enhancing workforce capabilities and business outcomes.
With a career spanning over a decade in HR leadership, Rocky has held senior roles at Marsh McLennan, ING, Future Group, and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance. His diverse experience across retail, financial services, FMCG, and technology sectors positions him well to drive Tesco’s learning and development agenda.
