Singapore, December 2025 – Rohit Markan has taken on a new leadership role as Executive Vice President – Industrial Solutions (Asia Pacific) at Continental, marking a significant step in his distinguished career spanning nearly three decades across sales, strategy, and regional leadership in the industrial and specialty chemicals sector. In this new capacity, he will be responsible for leading Continental’s industrial business portfolio across Asia Pacific markets, focusing on strategic expansion, customer-centric innovation, and sustainable industrial solutions.
Prior to joining Continental, Rohit Markan spent close to a decade with Roquette, where he held multiple leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Managing Director – Asia Pacific, based in Singapore, following a successful tenure as Managing Director – India Region and earlier as Senior Vice President – Sales, Asia Pacific. His journey at Roquette was instrumental in driving growth across high-potential markets and strengthening customer partnerships across geographies.
Earlier, Rohit worked for over 13 years with Dow Corning, where he held a wide array of global and regional leadership roles. These included Director (Sales) – India Region, Global Marketing Manager – Solar Feedstock, and Global Program Manager – Pulp & Paper Market, among others. His time at Dow Corning saw him navigate international assignments across the US and Asia, leading strategy development and market penetration in key sectors.
Before Dow Corning, Rohit started his career at 3M as a Sales Manager, and later worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Regional Sales Specialist, gaining early exposure to B2B and healthcare industries. These foundational roles provided him with the commercial acumen and client management capabilities that have been hallmarks of his leadership journey.
Rohit has consistently been at the forefront of business transformation, combining deep market insight with operational excellence. With over 25 years of experience across global markets, he brings a unique perspective on scaling businesses, managing cross-cultural teams, and building innovation-driven organizations.
