Burbank, California, United States, June 2025 – The Walt Disney Studios has announced the appointment of Ron Faris as Senior Vice President, Global Marketing for Disney Consumer Products. Faris will oversee strategy across global licensing, retail, publishing, and gaming, reporting to company leadership as Disney advances its approach to immersive, experience-led brand storytelling.

Before joining The Walt Disney Studios, Ron Faris was with Nike for nearly a decade, most recently serving as Vice President and General Manager of Nike Virtual Studios in Los Angeles and New York City. He was instrumental in building Nike’s future-forward digital and physical products and pioneering new game experiences targeted at Gen Z consumers. Faris also played a central role as Global VP, SNKRS, NBHD, & S23NYC Digital Studio, scaling Nike’s digital platform for limited edition sneakers into a $1B business across more than 55 countries.
Prior to Nike, Faris was the Founder & CEO of Virgin Mega, a venture-backed startup focused on social and mobile commerce, later acquired by Nike. He also held leadership roles at Virgin Mobile USA as Head of Brand Marketing, where he managed strategic brand evolution, creative initiatives, and award-winning marketing programs, including the launch of major music festivals and sponsorships with renowned artists.
Faris’s earlier experience includes his role as Director, Strategic Partnerships at Atari, where he managed relationships to expand gameplay to new media platforms. He began his career managing digital marketing initiatives as Engagement Manager at Scient (now SapientRazorfish) and served as Manager at Accenture in New York, specializing in media and telecommunications.
