Miami, Florida, United States, June 2024 – Roseli Halcsik has joined Horizon Auto Logistics as the new Chief People Officer. Halcsik is enthusiastic about leveraging her extensive experience in human resources to drive strategic initiatives and foster a value-based culture at Horizon Auto Logistics.
Halcsik’s most recent role was at FreightCar America, Inc., where she served as the VP/Corporate Director of Human Resources for just over two years. In this position, she directed HR teams in the US and Mexico, guiding line management in devising strategic HR plans. She implemented solutions to adhere to KPIs, managed a team of eight direct reports, and reported directly to the CEO. Notable achievements include keeping HRIS system usage costs 16% under budget, saving $600K through legal hiring/termination guidance, and achieving a 96% response rate in engagement surveys.
Prior to FreightCar America, Halcsik worked at Nordex Group for over seven years in various roles, including Global Director of People and Culture. She piloted HR functions of global business groups, redefined job duties to increase retention, and managed budgets ranging from $300M to $600M. Her leadership contributed to enhanced efficiency and effectiveness, integration and globalization of HR functions, and transition of HR functions to new geographic locations.
Halcsik also held the position of Vice President of People and Culture at Nordex Group, where she delivered HR services to 12 states and 80+ wind farms in the USA and Canada. She implemented HRIS systems, reshaped HR policies, and achieved significant workforce growth and reduced turnover. Additionally, she launched initiatives to elevate leadership and improve HR operations.
Before joining Nordex Group, Halcsik served as the Head of People and Culture in São Paulo, Brazil, where she trained HR teams, restructured HR dashboards, and optimized communication initiatives. Her efforts resulted in substantial cost savings, workforce expansion, and high post-internship retention rates.
Earlier in her career, Halcsik worked as a Human Resources Manager at Edições Globo Condé Nast, where she governed all facets of HR practices, managed promotions and salary administration, and conducted union negotiations. She also held roles at Nera Networks AS, BT Group, and FedEx Services, gaining valuable experience in HR operations, strategic planning, and team leadership.
