London, United Kingdom, December 2024 – Informa has announced the appointment of Ruth Ovens as the Chief People Officer for Informa TechTarget, a newly formed entity combining the digital businesses of TechTarget and Informa Tech. In this strategic role, Ruth will lead the organization’s global human resources strategy, focusing on talent development, diversity, inclusion, and employee engagement while supporting the company’s mission to inform, influence, and connect the world’s technology buyers and sellers.
Ruth brings an impressive career trajectory with over two decades of HR leadership across various industries. Prior to this role, Ruth served as Chief People & Talent Officer at Informa Tech, where she successfully drove employee engagement and diversity, achieving gender balance at all organizational levels and significantly reducing voluntary attrition. Her leadership has been instrumental in fostering a people-centric culture and advancing initiatives in inclusion, equity, and well-being.
Before joining Informa, Ruth was People & Culture Director at Future, a global media company, where she designed and executed HR strategies to support rapid growth and diversification. Her earlier experience includes pivotal roles at Connect Group PLC, where she delivered operational excellence and workforce transformation strategies as People Director for Smiths News.
In her expansive career, Ruth has also held leadership roles in HR transformation and organizational development at companies like Nine Feet Tall, Quadriga, and the British Council, showcasing her expertise in aligning HR practices with business goals and driving cultural change.
