Sagar’s appointment comes at a time when Greenhouse is expanding its mission to help companies of all sizes hire more effectively through smarter, human-centered systems. His leadership will play a critical role in shaping the company’s hiring technology to meet the evolving needs of job seekers and businesses in a highly competitive global market.

Before joining Greenhouse, Sagar was Head of Engineering for PayPal Credit Cards & Line of Credit, where he led engineering for high-volume financial products with global reach. His tenure was marked by the successful rollout of new credit offerings and modernization of legacy systems through event-driven architectures and CI/CD automation.

Previously, he served as Chief Technology Officer at Ampla (acquired by FundThrough), where he scaled the engineering organization during a volatile period in fintech, led product and platform development, and worked directly with the board on M&A strategy. He also held leadership roles as Vice President of Engineering at Lunchbox, VP of Engineering at BlackRock, and mentor positions at First Round Fast Track and Plato, supporting emerging engineering leaders.
