Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, November 2025 – Newmark has announced the appointment of Saibal Bhattacharya as Vice President of Human Resources for Property & Facilities Management in India and the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. With an illustrious career spanning over 34 years across Property & Facility Management, Life Sciences, and Real Estate, Saibal brings deep expertise in leading people-first HR transformations, embedding ESG principles, and fostering inclusive workplace cultures aligned with business growth.
Before joining Newmark, Saibal most recently served as Vice President – People & Culture at ISS Facility Services India Private Limited, where he led strategic HR initiatives focused on organizational effectiveness and employee experience. His brief yet impactful tenure strengthened leadership alignment and reinforced people-centric policies within the organization.
Previously, he spent over seven years at Knight Frank India, where he rose to the role of Senior Vice President – Human Resources. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in driving organizational development, business HR strategy, and change management initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
Earlier, Saibal was associated with Sodexo as General Manager – HR, where he successfully implemented global HR practices and industrial relations strategies that strengthened the company’s operational excellence in India. His contributions helped integrate people systems across diverse business verticals, ensuring sustainable workforce engagement.
Prior to that, he spent significant years with RPG Group as Assistant General Manager – HR, where he focused on business HR and employee relations, followed by HR leadership roles at Abbott Healthcare and Piramal Enterprises Limited, where he spent nearly two decades building robust HR frameworks, managing complex industrial relations, and leading change initiatives. His long tenure at Piramal Group provided him with a solid foundation in HR strategy, leadership development, and organizational growth.
Saibal holds a Master’s in Business Law from the National Law School of India University (NLSIU) and a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (PGDHRM) from Symbiosis International University.
