Texas, United States, May 2025 – Saikat Sarkar has joined Alithya as the Global Director, Human Capital Business Partner, bringing over two decades of global HR leadership to the technology and digital strategy firm. In his new role, Saikat will be responsible for aligning Alithya’s human capital strategy with its business transformation goals across its global operations.
Career Journey
Before joining Alithya, Saikat Sarkar served as Human Resources Director at Wyman Gordon, a Precision Castparts Company, where he worked closely with leadership to align organizational strategy with talent priorities, fostered a strong culture of inclusion, and led change and talent management initiatives over a span of 3 years.
Previously, he held the role of Global HR Director at AMETEK, supporting Vision Research and Forza divisions for over 6 years. He played a pivotal role in implementing global HR strategies, leadership development programs, and the integration of performance metrics to drive workforce efficiency and employee engagement across business units.
Saikat also spent over 5 years at Caterpillar Inc., in both the United States and India. As Senior Manager HRBP & Talent Management, he successfully led pipeline development for Asia, managed global succession planning, and implemented compensation programs that aligned with Caterpillar’s strategic direction. His earlier role as HRBP Manager saw him enhancing workplace culture and driving diverse hiring practices.
Earlier in his career, he held significant HR leadership roles at CGI, Essar, and Firstsource, where he shaped HR policies, improved employee retention, and optimized operational efficiency across teams in India and the U.S. His work at Firstsource notably contributed to a 20% improvement in retention through HR transformation initiatives.
