Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, June 2024 – Samantha Chestney has joined Arcadia Landscape Architecture as the new Head of People and Culture. With a rich background in human resources and a passion for fostering positive organizational cultures, Samantha brings extensive expertise to her new role, aiming to enhance employee engagement and drive cultural transformation at Arcadia.
Samantha Chestney joins Arcadia Landscape Architecture with an impressive career in HR leadership across various industries. At Arcadia, she will focus on implementing strategic HR initiatives, fostering a positive organizational culture, and enhancing employee engagement.
Prior to this, Samantha served as the Senior HR Business Partner (Commercial) at BD for 11 months, where she was responsible for project management and strategic HR initiatives in a hybrid work environment.
As the Founder and Director of People Mojo, Samantha provided HR consulting and advisory services for 2 years and 6 months. She specialized in full-service HR consulting, workplace relations solutions, and outsourced HR. Her role involved various client assignments, including organization design consulting, change strategy, talent and performance consulting, and workplace investigations.
At Enovis Australia New Zealand, Samantha was the Senior HR Business Partner for 9 months, where she worked in a hybrid environment to deliver HR strategies and support organizational growth.
Samantha also held the position of Head of Human Resources at Endemol Shine Australia for 6 months. Reporting to the CEO and as a member of the Executive Leadership Team, she was responsible for re-establishing foundational and operational aspects of the HR function across a diverse workforce.
She has worked in various fast-paced, start-up hospitality venues as an HR Consultant/Specialist, handling HR and payroll roles. Her experience includes roles at Zip Co as a Senior People Partner, where she led global HR projects and developed performance and remuneration frameworks.
Earlier in her career, Samantha held several senior HR roles, including Head of People and Culture at Go (Building an Australian Bank), Head of People and Culture, Global Partner Services at GenesisCare, and Head of People and Culture, APAC & Japan at Nuix. She also served as the HR Director, APAC at LexisNexis and led the People and Culture division at New Horizons Enterprises Limited.
