Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, June 2025 — Samar Kagalwalla has been appointed as Head – Brand & Marketing at CSB Bank Limited, bringing nearly two decades of extensive experience in strategic marketing, brand development, and business growth across leading Indian banks and fintech companies. In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the bank’s brand strategy, customer engagement initiatives, and marketing programs to enhance CSB Bank’s presence in the competitive financial services landscape.
Before joining CSB Bank, Samar served as Head of Marketing & Growth Partnerships at Onsurity, where he played a crucial role in driving digital marketing, growth strategies, and platform optimization to accelerate business performance. His tenure saw impactful collaborations and user-centric innovations that elevated the company’s market standing.
Previously, he held the role of Chief Marketing – Personal Banking & Media at AU Small Finance Bank, where he successfully led brand positioning campaigns and nationwide marketing initiatives. He was also responsible for building strong teams and delivering communication strategies across a range of banking services.
At YES BANK, Samar held several senior leadership roles over nearly seven years, including EVP – Marketing and Sr. Vice President – Marketing & Communication. During this time, he managed marketing for retail loans, cards, MSME, and merchant acquisition. He spearheaded digital enablement initiatives, built key industry alliances, and played a vital role in the bank’s MSME campaigns and IPL partnerships.
Earlier in his career, he held pivotal marketing roles at RBL Bank and HDFC Bank, where he led brand transformation projects, regional marketing strategies, and business development initiatives. His journey also includes early roles in relationship management and banking solutions, which provided a strong foundation in client-centric financial services.
